Responding to the Chancellors Autumn Statement today, Julie Wood, NHS Clinical Commissioners Chief Executive said: “It is very disappointing that the Chancellor has not listened to the many voices from right across the health and care sector about the urgent need to address the real issues that the social care sector is facing and the direct impact that has on the NHS.”

Responding to the Q2 NHS financial performance figures chair of the NHSCC Finance Forum and CFO at NHS Wakefield CCG, Andrew Pepper said:
“The scale of the provider overspend is a sign of the tremendous financial and operational pressures the whole system is experiencing. While it is encouraging that today’s figures show there is some improvement being made, which is testament to how hard the system is working to meet its efficiency targets, we are still looking at a financial position for 2016/17 which is worse than projected.
